Welcome to Nurture Academy Scotland. Our founders Michelle and Audrey are experienced hairstylists and assessors, working in the industry for over 25 years.
They have achieved TCI training and Trauma training to understand,
support and be proactive around presenting behaviours that may
occur and to really connect with the young people who are referred
to the Academy.
Developing learners’ employability skills is a key driver for candidates that want to prepare their skills for the 21st century workplace. In this workshop, they will explore ways in which learning can support and build on their employability skills, knowledge and experience.
The workshop will provide young people with a 12-week course with a range of activities, so they can make informed decisions when using tools and technologies that will help them succeed in the modern digital world.
Providing young people with the skills and confidence to progress from basic level courses to higher level courses, apprenticeship opportunities and ultimately help these young people into paid employment within the hair and beauty sector.

• Share examples of technology-based activities that can be performed in the classroom or at a distance
